A QUICK UPDATE ON ALL THINGS COLDSTONE CREEK


We're in this for the long haul, friends! Just when I think my readers might be getting sick of Coldstone Creek, you surprise me with another amazing release day. Novan didn't disappoint, and honestly, I'm honored you love this family so much!


With only three more books in the Life with the Thomas Brothers series, I'm beginning to think it might be too hard to leave this family behind. And I think...maybe I don't want to? Maybe I want to grow, explore nearby towns, but never really leave?


So, I'm not! We're sticking around Coldstone Creek for a while, taking some day trips to Caramel Hill, Ravenwood, and Cedar Valley. Maybe even a trip to big Chatswain City again!


Let's take a deep dive into what already exists in the Coldstone Creek world, peek at what I have planned, and see how much fun we can have in this corner of North Carolina. Don't worry, wherever we go, I'll make sure we keep that small town, faithful, warm and fuzzy feeling you've come to know here in the CC franchise.

LET'S SEE WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE...



The flagship series Life with the Thomas Brothers focuses on the family life of the Thomas family of ten brothers. Beginning with the prequel, Merry Takes Main Street, we're introduced to the matriarch and patriarch of the family and get a peek into the beginning of their large family. From there, ten brothers take the spotlight as they find love with ten amazing women.


  • As of this publication, there are seven novels and one prequel released

  • There are three novels remaining and one short sequel novella that will be FREE

  • The series is primarily set in Coldstone Creek with some visits to Chatswain City, Caramel Hill, Ireland, and Columbia, SC.

  • Can be read out of order, but for the best experience read them in publication order



While not directly related to Coldstone Creek, the leading ladies of Reroute and Rethink (Calliope and May Hollis) are first cousins to all of the Thomas brothers. This is mentioned in both sisters' books and vaguely referenced in the Thomas brothers series. If you want a lot of laughs and a peek at Brenner Thomas's sister's family, you can dive into this romcom trilogy.

  • Books 1 and 2 leading ladies are the Thomas brothers' cousins

  • Must be read in order



This series is also indirectly related to the Thomas brothers by proximity. Chatswain City is the closest large city to Coldstone Creek and is mentioned several times in the series. While this series is complete, there may be other stand alone books that are set in the city.

  • They are all stand alone and can be read in any order

  • No mention of the Thomas family in any of the books



This book was written long before the Thomas brothers existed, but it was just too coincidental not to include it as a prequel to both the young adult romance series where it originated AND Falling for Ezra Thomas. The MC in this book becomes one of Ezra's close friends.


  • This book is a stand alone prequel to the Secret Author Series (currently unpublished for further editing)

  • It also works as a prequel to Falling for Ezra Thomas

  • It is a young adult novel and the characters are teens


NOW FOR THE FUN PART...


I have SO MANY plans for the Coldstone Creek franchise as a whole, but here are the highlights!


LIFE IN COLDSTONE CREEK


This same generation series picks up right where Life with the Thomas Brothers leaves off and focuses on prominent side characters, most requested character stories, and a few never before seen characters to mix things up a bit. All set in the same town and the same timeline as the Thomas brothers.


  • Eleven books planned

  • The covers are complete and GORGEOUS

  • The characters have been chosen, and the first book in the series will publish shortly after Wilder Thomas

  • We will visit the fire department, police department, and city hall, explore some military story lines and even an F1 racer!


FINDING LOVE IN CARAMEL HILL


This fun and slightly mysterious trilogy is based in a neighboring small town that is first mentioned in Catching Novan Thomas. If you've read the story, you met Piper's close friends, Stella and Harper. Both ladies (plus another friend) find their true love in a novella trilogy sure to make you laugh out loud while kicking your feet with joy!


  • Harper and Stella are Piper's best friends

  • A new character is introduced, but she knows both ladies for...reasons

  • Coldstone Creek adjacent

  • Covers are ready and absolutely adorable

  • Will begin once Life with the Thomas Brothers ends


FALLING FOR A RAVENWOOD RAPTOR


I am SO excited to write this series for so many reasons. One, I LOVE hockey. Obsessed, even before hockey romance hit it big. I've been a huge fan for over twenty years, so now that writing about it is an option, I can't stop! But I'm ALSO excited because this is a second generation series! That's right, the kiddos from some of your favorite characters will make an appearance in this series!


  • Second generation series with the children of characters from

    • Life with the Thomas Brothers

    • Dating a Denver Dragon (Double Duty Defense, Lucky Left Wing)

    • Southern Sports Sweethearts (can anyone say "The Dawson Brothers own a lot of teams?")

    • Give a Bookish Girl a Biker (The Trauma Response)

  • I hope to include 7-8 books in this series, but it's truly dependent on reader response

  • Takes place in a neighboring town and someone you all know and love (from one of the series above) is hired as the head coach for the NEW team!

  • Will end when Southern Sports Sweethearts ends

  • Cover designs are in the works


TAKE ME BACK TO CEDAR VALLEY


Wait, what? Where is Cedar Valley? You'll find out soon...probably in the very last Thomas brothers book, but it's another small town with a lot of its own charm and a close connection to Coldstone Creek.


  • Start date unknown, probably after Life in Coldstone Creek but it's open for discussion

  • Crossover characters for reasons I can't yet disclose

  • Very punny titles

  • May or may not have to do with Audrey Thomas's brother and sister-in-law's kids (Tress and Dominic Merry's family)


VARIOUS STAND ALONE SIDE STORIES


I have SO MANY ideas for books that can tie these series together, but it's too many to list them all here so I'll give you a peek...

  • a doctor turned veterinarian

  • a pilot in a midlife crisis

  • a billionaire who wants to disappear


Now that I have sufficiently overwhelmed you with options galore, which series are you most excited to see? I can't decide, but I know I'll be SUPER busy pumping out these sweet, small town romances!
